A Battle between machines and animals. Heavy metal field recordings and electronified turntablism by a portuguese-italian match.

Batalha (‘battle’ in portuguese) is based on the recordings of electronic landscapes, turntable crackles and other analog and digital sources made by Nuno Moita. Matteo Uggeri mixed those sounds adding field recordings of animals and machines. It came out a concept based on a battle between the forces of nature and those of machines, between analog and digital sounds, between stressful noises and soothing tunes, where unexpectedly the artificial side corresponds to relief and the natural one to anxiety and stress.
